1. Acceptance of Terms
By selecting "Agree & Continue," you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use RouteVault.

2. Service Description
RouteVault provides trip and expense tracking, data organization, analytics, and optional subscription features ("Pro"). RouteVault is an informational productivity tool, not a legal, tax, accounting, navigation, emergency, safety, insurance, or compliance authority.

3. No Professional Advice
RouteVault does not provide legal, tax, accounting, business, or regulatory advice. You are solely responsible for obtaining professional advice and determining whether records are accurate, complete, and suitable for your purpose.

4. User Responsibility for Records
You are solely responsible for reviewing, validating, correcting, exporting, and retaining your own trip, mileage, expense, and attachment records. You are solely responsible for filings, submissions, reimbursements, audits, and compliance obligations.

5. Permissions, Sensors, and Accuracy Limits
RouteVault relies on device sensors, iOS behavior, permissions, GPS, motion data, network signals, and third-party services. Trip detection, start/stop times, route shape, speed, distance, headings, timestamps, and classifications may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate.

6. No Warranty of Accuracy or Availability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RouteVault is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, or error-free operation.

7. Data Loss and Recovery Disclaimer (Including Pro)
You acknowledge and agree that data loss can occur for any reason, including but not limited to device theft, loss, damage, reset, app deletion, iOS offload/storage optimization behavior, corruption, sync/backup failure, network interruption, provider outage, software bugs, user action, or force majeure.
Pro features, including backup/snapshot features, are convenience features and are not insurance, guaranteed retention, or guaranteed recovery services. No recovery is guaranteed for any user, including Pro subscribers.

8. Device, Network, and Third-Party Dependencies
RouteVault performance depends on Apple iOS, hardware, carrier/network conditions, cloud/storage services, SDK providers, and other third parties. We are not responsible for failures, delays, changes, or interruptions caused by third-party systems.

9. Charges and Resource Use
You are solely responsible for all device, carrier, network, roaming, battery, storage, and other usage costs arising from app operation, including background activity where enabled.

10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RouteVault and its operator are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, punitive, or lost-profit damages, or for data loss, business interruption, missed trips, inaccurate logs, reimbursement/tax disputes, penalties, claims, or any other loss arising from use of or inability to use RouteVault or Pro features.

11. User Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless RouteVault and its operator from any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your use of the app, your data, your submissions, or your violation of law or these Terms.

12. Lawful Use Only
You agree not to use RouteVault for any unlawful, fraudulent, harmful, abusive, or prohibited purpose. You agree to comply with all laws and regulations in your local jurisdiction and any other jurisdiction whose laws apply to your use of RouteVault, including third-party rights.

13. Encryption and Access Disclosure
RouteVault uses app-based encryption for stored data. RouteVault is not end-to-end encrypted. Where data is stored by RouteVault systems, including Pro backup/snapshot infrastructure, encryption keys may be managed by RouteVault. As a result, data may be accessed, disclosed, preserved, or produced when required by law, court order, or valid legal process.

14. Governing Law, Venue, and Consumer Rights
These Terms are governed by the laws of Alberta, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You agree that any dispute, claim, or proceeding arising from or related to RouteVault or these Terms will be brought exclusively in the courts located in Alberta, Canada.
If laws in your jurisdiction provide mandatory consumer protections or other non-waivable rights, those rights remain in effect and are not limited by these Terms.

15. Suspension and Changes
Features, pricing, limits, and availability may change, be restricted, or be discontinued at any time without guaranteed continuity.

16. Term Updates
Terms may be revised at any time. Continued use after a new issue date constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
